A web page dedicated to the memory of my Uncle Ed and Auntie Emily
This page is dedicated to my Uncle Ed Sawicki . He is the brother of my mother. As children we visited their family, since they lived in the same town. We all need extended family to visit and they were the ones for us. It was very nice to visit Christmas, Easter, Halloween It was so nice to visit their cabin at Paint Lake. We have many fond memories. Growing up on a farm near Bield MB, Ed moved to Toronto when he was 19. He moved soon after that to Levac Ontario and began work with INCO metals, a mining company, at Frood Mine and Stobie Mine. In 1959 he moved his family to Thompson Manitoba where he worked for the town mine site (T1) and then at Pipe Lake Mine (50 miles away). After he retired in the late 1980’s he moved to Dauphin and had a farm and raised horses. He retired in the town of Dauphin MB. He spent most weekends at the cabin at Paint Lake. Thanks for the memories, Ed and Emily, Bev and Leona.
The following page will include pics from Ed early years on the farm and Toronto area and then some pics from his years in Thompson Manitoba.
