There are annual hunting and fishing events, as well as Bingo, Christmas parties and Gospel Jamborees, hockey games, baseball games ….and many other events I am sure.

Muskrat Dam Ice Fishing Derby February 27, 2016

  1. $200.00 per ice hole, no advance holes will be sold.
  2. Derby begins @ 12:00 p.m. ends @ 4:00 p.m.
  3. Any changes with the registered hole must be done prior to fishing at 12:00 p.m. All ice holes will be transferable, if you bought one and cannot make it to the derby. Please let the organizers know of the change.
  4. No refunds on all sales.
  5. Fishing holes will be predrilled and numbered. Your fishing hole will be determined by the number drawn at the time of registration. The # of the hole will be used for the participation draw at the presentations.
  6. WALLEYE ONLY. If no walleye is caught, this is the order that will be followed: Sauger, Whitefish, Goldeye, Maria and Jackfish.
  7. If you leave your fishing hole, remove your hook out of the water.
  8. Weigh/register your fish as you catch them.
  9. To qualify, all fish must be registered or out of the water prior to the signaling of the end of the contest.
  10. Prizes are determined by weight and time. In an event of a tie, the first registered fish wins. If it is still a tie, the participant who registered first wins.
  11. There is no minimum age for participation. However, all minors 12 years and under must have a paid registered guardian/parent.
  12. Participants are allowed to assist children that are 12 years and under to land their fish but not allowed to fish from their fishing holes.
  13. If a participant is caught giving fish to another participant then both will be disqualified.
  14. No tents or fish huts allowed, however a small tarp anchored with posts can be used as a shelter but participant must be visible on one side.
  15. Absolutely no motorized vehicles are allowed in the fishing area other than those of derby officials and the handicapped. Please park your vehicles in the designated parking area.
  16. NO LIVE BAIT, TIP UPS, WALLEYE RIGS STINGERS/TRAILS, GAFFING HOOKS.
  17. No littering. Please pick up your garbage when you’re done fishing.
  18. All participants found in violation of these rules will be disqualified with NO REFUND of entry fee.

Check in Saturday, November 15 @ 5:00 PM.

Entry Fee $50.00 per person / $100.00 per team

**The last partridge hunt was on November 12, 2014. For those of you that are going to be participating in this upcoming event**

**All trophies will be presented at the Band Hall On November 15 2014 at the Band Hall.**

There will be BINGO on Nov 14, 2014….$50.00 a card.

Rules & Regulations
1. Entry fee is 125.00 per person, $250.00 per team.
2. Pay Theresa Beardy your Entry Fee.
3. Hunt starts Thursday, October 9, 2014 @ 12:00 PM with no camping. Friday, October 10, 2014 Hunting resumes @ 12:00 PM, then camping. Check In is the Ball Field @ 5:00 PM, Saturday, October 11, 2014.
4. Check In @ 5:00 PM, otherwise late check in will result in immediate disqualification.
5. Use of outboard motors and boats, or other motorized machinery can be used. Doesn’t limit how many can be used.
6. The order of Moose Killed: 1st is the Widest Rack- bull, small bull. 2nd If no Bulls, Use Cow. The Cow will be measured by the check in officials to determine the sizes. In a situation where there’s no bulls or cow for 3rd and 4th, the 3rd place is split between the two top teams, or with a team of another bull rack. 4th place with no standings – it will be a draw for other teams.
7. Use care and caution during the hunts.
8. Please advise family or friends where you will be located, for safety precautions; in case of motor breakdown etc.
9. Upon receiving prizes and checking in, all meat needs to be delivered Sunday October 12, 2014@ Ball Field. 50% Donated to the Moose Derby and community feast. Gas will be provided to get the meat.
