Freshie Day at High School in Thompson Manitoba

Freshie Day: That was the very anticipated yearly event in high school. Was it even legal? (lol). The incoming freshman were put up for auction. They could be asked to cook breakfast for the those who bought them and they would get dressed up for their day at school. They would be dressed up and subjected to various, sometimes humiliating, events during the day. It was a fun day with lots of laughs. But for a few it might have been a little traumatic. Were you a freshie? Did you possess (for want of a better term) a freshie for a day?
