Over the past 75 years God has given Child Evangelism Fellowship a number of unique ministries which have proven to be effective tools in our effort to evangelize and disciple children.

Child Evangelism Fellowship is the world’s largest evangelistic outreach to children. Last year, CEF reached over 19.9 million children in over 192 countries! With our unique ministries, training and materials we carry out the Great Commission.

We are praying to the Lord that He would send out more laborers into the harvest field to reach more children with the Gospel. We need more workers throughout the United States and in every country of the world. Perhaps you are an answer to our prayers

Volunteer Missionaries

Volunteer missionaries have served alongside CEF staff from the very beginning of CEF in 1937. Today, volunteer missionaries are helping CEF reach children, young people and adults in over 192 countries.

Volunteer missionary opportunities exist at the CEF International Headquarters in Warrenton, Missouri, as well as in local CEF ministry around the world.

God has given you a wide variety of skills and experiences. Use them in a way that will help children come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior!

Club Ministries

Find out how God continues to use the exciting club ministries CEF offers around the world. Good News Club, a weekly during the school year, is more popular than ever following the Supreme Court victory allowing Good News Club to take place in public schools across America. Our summer 5-Day Club outreach takes place over the course of a five day period, offering a unique opportunity for children to interact with teenagers who receive training in the Christian Youth In Action program.

Summer Club Ministries

5 Day Clubs / VBS:

Our summer begins with a two-week training camp where approximately 50 teens and young adults are equipped to lead “5 Day Clubs”.   A 5-Day Club is a 2-hour program that runs for five days, from Monday to Friday. It includes games, skits, songs, memory verses, and life-changing Bible lessons. It can run in five mornings or five afternoons or five evenings.  Clubs can be held indoors in churches, community centres, schools, etc. They can also be outdoors in parks, school yards, or even someone’s backyard.

Our trained and fully equipped young workers (Christian Youth in Action – CYIA) are dispatched in teams of two to lead clubs in communities all across the province.  Churches and individuals can book one of our teams to help them minister for a week to the children of their community. To learn more about this exciting summer ministry opportunity, or how you could arrange to have a CEF team in your community, please contact us.

Most clubs are arranged by a local church. The cost for the team of two workers, fully trained and equipped to present the 5-Day Club program, is $275 for a week of half days, $525 for a week of full days. (we will do our best to make arrangements for small congregation that may find this modest cost prohibitive)

Sometimes an individual has a vision to reach the children of their neighbourhood but are not sponsored by a local church.  When these cases meet CEF guidelines we are pleased to assist by providing a summer team.  Private club hosts are invited to make a donation to help with costs if they can, but our normal fees are waived and there is no financial obligation.

Churches or individuals hosting a CEF summer team provide a home with room and board for the two team members for one week (Saturday to Saturday), and transportation for the team to their next destination.  (Note that adults living in host homes, and drivers, will be required to meet CEF’s requirements for criminal records checks, as specified in the CEF Ontario Child Protection Policy).

Training at the Children’s Ministries Institute

The Children’s Ministries Institute (CMI) provides specialized, practical training in children’s ministries not found in Bible colleges or Christian universities.

If you have a heart for reaching children for Christ and discipling them, if you desire to train others in this ministry or if you are seeking career opportunities in this field, CMI is just what you need.

The  Canadian CEF    http://www.cefcanada.org/

Since 1938, Child Evangelism Fellowship® has been actively reaching children in Canada, evangelizing and discipling them in the Word of God. CEF® is active in every province of Canada and continues the ministry through staff and volunteers who are committed to seeing that every child is evangelized.

CEF of Canada is an evangelical, Bible-centred mission whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.

CEF of Canada is a part of Child Evangelism Fellowship Inc. (founded in 1937 and headquartered in Warrenton, Missouri, USA), an international, interdenominational family of ministries currently serving in 180 countries. We are also a part of the North America/Caribbean Region of CEF.

At CEF Ontario we care about kids. In fact we are passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with Ontario’s children. We are pleased to partner with Bible-believing churches across Ontario, working with you to reach the children of your community.

Our Mission

“In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.” Matthew 18:14 (NIV)

Jesus said those words.  They are the reason CEF exists, and the basis of our clear and simple mission statement.

“To evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus, and establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and the local church for Christian living.”

For more than 70 years we’ve been doing whatever God enables us to do to reach Ontario’s 2 million children.
