Greaser Day
Greaser Day. This was part of Spirit Week each year at R.D. Parker. Most of the pics were from 1978. Two were collected from a former post. This day looks like a lot of fun. They even had Chinese Fire Drills with their cars. People really got into it. I, personally don’t remember getting dressed up for Greaser Day. I wish I would have participated. If only I knew then what I know now. Today I know that participating fully is the best thing, even if you don’t have the perfect costume. Just get out there and have some fun with everyone else. I was probably filled will a mixture of shyness and “I’m too cool” and as a result I missed out. I am sure that I enjoyed watching everyone else. Does anyone have any memories of Greaser Day? How long did it carry on?
