Ida was the eleventh child of Joseph A. Jesmer and Mary Ann (Robideau) Jesmer. She was born November 20, 1875 and died March 13, 1889. Joseph was 42 and her mom was 40 years old when she was born. That would make her 13 years old when she died. I don’t know how she died. her mother died of cancer three months after Ida died. How sad it must have been for the family. She was loved by her parents for she was buried with them. The grave marker has the name of her dad, Joseph and her mother and then Ida, each on one side of the grave stone. She is buried in the Greenbush Catholic cemetery in Greenbush Township, about 7 miles west of Princeton. Nelson A. Jesmer, Ida’s oldest sibling, named his daughter “Ida” in 1892. Could he have named her after his younger sister?
