In His Presence – by Rev Eric Barr
In His Presence
may I dwell
Mighty God who created me.
In His Presence may I rest
Good God who sent him to free me.
In his Presence
may I touch, help and comfort
the sick who need healing
the poor who need dignity
the young who need wisdom
the hungry who need food
the old who need peace –
all those who feel
far away from the presence of Christ Your Son.
For in His Presence
I have the strength, the power
and the glory
to be the hands, eyes, voice
and heart
of Him who redeemed the world.
Mighty God who holds me close
surround me with
your Son’s presence
in the power of your Holy Spirit
now and forever. Amen.
