Mary Alice Ann (Ann) Nugent went by the name “Ann”.  She was the oldest child of John Kinread Nugent and Alice (Larracey) Nugent. She was born Irishtown New Brunswick Canada. She was a devoted nun. She was so devoted that she was unable to come to the wedding of Ken, her brother, and Helen Nugent. Ken and Helen were not dissuaded from including her in the joy of the wedding and so, wearing their wedding clothes, they went to visit Ann at the convent.

Her aunt, Bernice Clair Larracey, was also a nun (b. 1902). She was known as Rev Sister M. Blanche. “Sister Blanche” was a teacher. Could have Ann been influenced by her aunt to become a nun?

Sister Ann passed away in the 1960’s. Michelle and Julie (Nugent) Jesmer, sisters, both have the middle name “Ann”.  Their middle names were meant to honor Sister Ann. Sister Ann is their aunt.
