Sunrise service in Montreal Jenn and friends 2013McGill Students worshiping at sunrise service on Mount Royale in Montreal. Jennifer, my daughter was there taking pictures and worshiping. What a great idea and a great environment to worship.

“Easter was so great!! 🙂 Last night form 11-1:30 I went to an Easter vigil at the chapel downstairs. They had incense and they sang all the bible passages and it was good. Didn’t end up going to sleep until around 2:15 for various reasons, then I was up at 4:45 to climb the mountain with folks. Needless to say, that was torture. And I wore the wrong shoes, so my toes froze. But by the time we were at the top it was all good again, frozen toes and all. We sang a lot of songs (2 ukeleles, a banjo, a violin, and a guitar) with two other churches. At first we all sang in a circle, then we started dancing. That warmed me up a bit 🙂 Then we read the resurrection passage from Luke with Newman Catholic Church. They had spent the whole night reading through Luke up to that point. After the reading we sang and danced a bit more, and someone had brought up a loaf of bread and a jug of grape juice so a few of us took communion. We went out to this great breakfast place, and I had a hash brown skillet (I MISS THOSE SO MUCH). Afterwards we went to an actual service at Grace Montreal Church. They were really welcoming, and there were lots of little kids to play with (although I waved to one of them and he cried… welp…). After the service we had a potluck with TONS of international food. Had some chopchey, missed that. JESUS LIVES and the day was/is great as is either/or. ♥
