In 1895, in Princeton MN we read about the construction of the Jesmer Opera house. Nelson E. Jesmer had rebuilt his store, after the previous store had burned down by fire. The opera house was popular. In this year, they had shown the play, “The Kansas Emmigrants”. The tickets were 25 cents each.
William Jesmer got married a Miss Wetther. Also married were Louis Jesmer and Rose Mallotte, as well as Joseph Jr. Jesmer and Mina Lafontaisee.
This year was filled with town politics. Nelson E. Jesmer, the store owner, visits with governor of Minnesota while visiting Minneapolis. Louis Jesmer was working for L.W. Pierson’s Clothing Store.
Numerous babies were being born. A.D. Jesmer built a new barn. N.E. Jesmer was the treasurer of the Masonic Temple.
