Newspaper articles concerning Ole and Lena Statland – my g-grandparents from Norway.

Most of these articles come from the time the family lived in Hazel County near Wildrose North Dakota at the beginning of the the 20th century. They had moved from Pope county MN to farm in ND. Later on they moved up to Saskatchewan Canada to farm. In the articles, Olaf Bruce was Lena’s brother. It appears Ole worked as a church janitor and was a deacon and Lena was president of the woman’s group at one point.
