Nicholas and my mother, Della Sawicki have the same father, Leon but have different mothers. Nicholas’ mother was Anne Dutchyshen and Della’s mom was Emily Dobranski. Della stated that Nick was a very nice brother to her. He had served in the Canadian Navy in WWll and was stationed in the Maritimes in Canada. After the war he ran a roofing business in Toronto. At the young age of 39 he died of stomach cancer. Take note that Nick also had an Uncle Nicholas, who was his father’s brother.
