Ottawa Ontario: A Beautiful Church Building 10-25-14

Ottawa Ontario: A Beautiful Church Building 10-25-14. I really like old church buildings. In Ottawa and Montreal there are so many old Catholic and Anglican churches. They have so much history to them. They were a vibrant part of the community. But, alas, so many large cathedral type churches remain empty or almost empty, a mere shadow of the community life they hosted in the past. I have heard that in Montreal, there is a law that new church buildings can not be built on the island of Montreal, because of the presence of so many unused church buildings and lack of space.  To me, that is OK, because I think that these old churches should be rehabed and reused, even by Protestants. One old Anglican church in Montreal opens up it’s green space for homeless people to hang out in. They even grow a community garden, right in the middle of the city. What a great idea.
