Questionnaire about going to church

Questionnaire about going to church.

The following “Mad-Lib-esque” review of the church comes from Kevin De Young and Ted Kluck’s book “Why We Love the Church.” So, what do you think of the church and churches in your city? Number your answers in the same fashion for illuminating fun. (Copied from Pastor Jamie Page’s facebook)

The institutional church is so -(1)-.

When I go to church I feel completely -(2)-.

The leadership is totally -(3)-

and the people are -(4)-.

The services are -(5)-,

the music is -(6)-,

and the whole congregation is -(7)-.

The whole thing makes me -(8)-.

I had no choice but to (9: stay or leave) the church.

My relationship with -(10)- is better than ever.

Now I meet regularly with my -(11)- and talk about Jesus.

We really care for each other. Sometimes we even (12: choose one or fill in the blank, “pray for each other,” “feed the homeless,” “share power tools,” or ” _______.”

This is church like it was meant to be. After all (13: choose one or fill in the blank, “Where two or more are gathered, there I am in the midst of you,” or “the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life, ” or “we don’t have to go to church, we are the church,” or “_______.”

I’m not saying everyone needs to do what I’ve done, but if you are tired of -(14)-,

I invite you to join the -(15)-

and experience -(16)-.
