| Sidney J. Jesmer,, a respected resi- dent of this community, passed away at his residence in this village last Tuesday morning, after a lingering illness. He had been a patient suf- ferer for years. Sidney J. Jesmer was born in New York state, April 9, 1859, so at the time of his death was 55 years, 9 months and 3 days old. He came to Mille Lacs county with his parents when a boy. and for a number of years resided in Greenbush, moving into this village about 12 years ago.Mr. Jesmer was married Dec. 25, 1880, to Miss Mary Jane Mellotte. Besides the widow he leaves to mourn his passing away, three chilren: Lyle of St. Paul. Miss Lorena and Lester of this place. Seven broth- ers and two sisters also survive.The funeral services were held this morning at 10 o’clock at St. Edward’s Catholic church. Be v. Fr. Willenbrink officiated, and the floral tributes were indeed numerous and beautiful. The final services were largely attended by friends who came to pay their last tribute of respect to the deceased Sidney Jesmer was a good citizen, a kind and loving husband and father, and a good and true friend. Besides the relatives he leaves numerous friends who sincerely mourn his passing away.Princeton UNION Jan 14, 1915 |
