Soab Mine Site

Soab Mine: People my age are some of the last people who remember seeing Soab Mine. I was a young boy when it shut down in 1971. I was seven years old. I remember driving south on 391 and in one section of highway there was a creek and to the left was Soab Mine. In my mind I remember seeing the headframe and remembering the name, “Soab”. It was mined from 1969 to 1971. Does anyone remember working there? When was the headframe taken down? What is there now?
