Some pictures of Old Princeton MN in the 1800’s. Princeton is 6 miles from  Joseph Jesmer’s farm.  Many Jesmer’s lived in Princeton MN. It was the place where they would go to the “city” and enjoy town life or catch a train or sell their farm products. It was the place where Nelson E Jesmer had a prosperous store and opera house and where my great grandfather, Nelson Adulphus caught his entrepreneurial spirit as he witnessed his uncle, Nelson E. Jesmer conduct business in Princeton. Nelson Jesmer’s store is in the photos. There is the first one and the second one with an opera house on top. It was called the NEJ building.
