The Mikado Glee Club. Operetta. Spring 1968
Susan Henderson Wilding: Spring of 1968 – The Mikado- the Glee Club had a great time putting on this operetta. Love to see that through the years RDPC continued to put on productions – they are memories one never forgets. Huge kudos to Mr.Ernest Dueck who was our director ( we did HMS Pinafore the year before). Always hard to find boys for the Glee Club so, there were always some of the male teachers who would take part too. Candace Wiebe was YumYum, Mr. Bruce Downey played the male lead, Karen Nesbitt, Linda Knox were other leads. Mrs.Hope McLatchy and Merilee Heffner(?sp) played the piano. My best friend Jane Rutherford and I were in the chorus, also Pauline Pilon.
