The Missionary Support Team In Action. 10-24-15
Acts 13:2-3,
“While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.” (ESV)
In the past I used to pray for God to send out lots of missionaries through the ministry. I never prayed for God to establish, grow and mature a missionary support team to help the missionaries on their mission. But all that has changed. I now know how important missionary support teams are. The sending church must pray to stand in support with those they send out in the mission field. I have heard it said, that every missionary should have nine people back home, supporting. (from Serving as Senders). May God grow, establish and mature missionary support groups. Today, (10-24-15) our support team got to help out in a mailing campaign. What a blessing it was that young and old could gather as one to serve the Lord in this way.
