Relationships Between First Nation Communities in NW Ontario
Once a person starts to research First Nations communities, eventually you will discover that there are relationships between the communities. There are different types of relationships. There are political alliances, treaty memberships, familial connections, administrative connections, health care regions, plus others. In Northwestern Ontario there are about 24 communities with about 25,000 people. They vary in size from a couple hundred to under 2,000. They organize themselves in order to help each other economically and culturally. As I do research on the communities I want to make a reference page on these relationships for those who may be interested.
