Some farm implements and two 1871 farms in Illinois

Here are some farm implements and some sketches of farms in DeKalb County in 1871. The implements are at the Elwood House. I added these to get more of a sense of what the farm of Joseph A. Jesmer could have been like. Maybe someone could write a book one day. I added a picture of a house in DeKalb Illinois at that time because Joseph A. Jesmer was hosting dances at his farm house where 35 people attended. A house like this would foot the bill precisely.
