We spend the Fourth at Shabbona State Park, near DeKalb Illinois. 7-4-14. It was so peaceful there. There were hardly any bugs and no wind and the temperature was great. It was Mark, Julie and I. We sat next to Jane and her husband, Rob, and we talked a lot about Christian Missionary work. It was very up lifting. The fireworks lasted over 30 minutes. There were even boats and kayaks on the lake under the fireworks. One guy even caught a keeper cat fish in front of me. It was a whole new experience in celebrating our freedom as a nation.
