4 H in Thompson in 70s and 80s

4 H Clubs: 4H has been a part of many of our lives growing up in Thompson. In recent pictures about the horse stables there were pictures of 4H members learning about horses and horse husbandry. I tried 4 H for a season. I joined the Super Saws. I even made it to be vice president in my first and only year in 1976. I remember making a pair of stilts. We also made painted traffic signs to hang up in our bedrooms. It was fun, but I really didn’t know what I was doing. I truly, was unqualified to be vice president. It supports the saying that things are not run by those who are the most qualified, but by those who show up. I was showing up. Was anyone else 4H? What kind of things were you up to? Any pictures?
