Texaco Gas Station

The tale of two (or three) Texaco’s. Thompson had several gas stations in the 70 and 80s. There were mostly the Shell stations, the Esso stations, the Co-op gas bar on Nelson Road and the Texaco stations. We went to the Southwood Texaco and later on, the Co-op gas bar. The Texaco, near the Plaza was the Cardell Texaco. Gas stations hold a precious place in my heart because I learned to read by reading the gas station signs on vacation journeys. Cardell Texaco is no longer there and the Southwood gas station in is now a shell station. Did anyone work there? Any zany memories of Texaco gas stations?
