Pictures of Ed’s life in Thompson Manitoba
I believe that Ed and his family lived in Thompson from 1959 to the 1980’s when he retired. He was the reason that my mom moved to Thompson and met my dad. She was about to go to Toronto and she went to Thompson to visit my Uncle Ed before she left. While she was in Thompson she met my dad and my dad did not miss the opportunity to propose to her. That is how our family began in Thompson. Ed, Emily, Bev and Leona, moving to Thompson at that time, meant that they were true pioneers of the town for it was literally being carved out of the northern Manitoban wilderness. A big thank you to Ed and his family for being the reason my parents met and for being the reason we could have a northern Canadian heritage.
