Adulphus “Albert” Jesmer was the tenth child and the seventh son born to Joseph A. Jesmer and Mary Ann Robideaux on 1/3/1874, in Greenbush Township, Milles Lacs MN. I think he went by Albert Jesmer. He was the third child born in Minnesota. At fifteen years old his mother died of cancer. It must have been very traumatic to see his mother die at so young an age. At seventeen years old his father remarried Rose Mallotte. Some of his older siblings were already moved away from the farm at the time of his birth. He may not have even known his older siblings well.
Not much is known about Albert other than he lived around Los Angeles California. Janice Sweet, a genealogist, mentioned that he did live in Wyoming at one time too.
Newspaper articles place him in Hibbing MN in 1897. Maybe he went to stay with his oldest sibling, Nelson A. Jesmer, who was running a hotel in Hibbing. He might have went to Wyoming to stay with his sister Louella who moved to that state. It is said that there was a family reunion at Albert’s home. There were three siblings that gathered at Albert’s home in Brawley California, in the Imperial Valley, Imperial County, with Hubert and Joseph Jesmer, his brothers. Five years later there was another re-union between Hubert and Joseph. Albert was not there. It is assumed he was deceased.

I am wondering what may have happened to Stella Marie Torst (Jesmer). On 31 Oct 1911 in Los Angeles, California, Stella Marie Torst was born to parents William Torst and Zella May Pritchard. Stella’s mother, Zella, was born May 1891 in California, possible Redlands. William was born 7 Apr 1873 in Wyoming, and died on 15 Apr 1912 in Los Angeles, California. After the death of William Torst, Zella remarried to Albert Adolphus Jesmer on 1 Dec 1913 in Los Angeles, California. On the 1920 census, Albert, Zella, and Marie (Stella) are found living in Globe, Gila, Arizona. Marie is listed as the daughter of Albert with her last name being Jesmer. On the 1930 census, Albert and Zella are living in Brawley, Imperial, California. There is no child listed for the household. I have been unable to find Stella beyond the 1920 census. Any information that can help solve the mystery of where Stella went after 1920 would be greatly appreciated.
