Delia Alice Jesmer- The twelfth child of Joseph and Mary Ann Jesmer

Delia Alice Jesmer was born on 2-27-1877. She was the twelfth child (the fifth daughter and the sixth child born in Greenbush Minnesota), born to Joseph A. Jesmer and Mary Ann Robideaux. She was born in Greenbush township, Milles Lacs MN. At the age of twelve her sister Ida died and her mother died of cancer. At the age of fourteen her father remarried a woman named Rose Mallote. In 1900 she is recorded as living in the home of her father, Joseph. At the age of 23, on 1-20-1901, she married George Dupont in the Catholic Church (St Edward) in Princeton MN. After their marriage they moved to Milaca Minnesota, fifteen miles from Princeton MN. On 9-28-1901 her father, Joseph A. Jesmer would die of a stroke. Delia herself was in poor health for some time. Her condition was getting worse for six months prior to her death. Eventually she passed away at a young age of twenty-five. She was taken to Raphael Hospital in St Cloud Minnesota. She stayed there for one week with a “dying condition”. Her funeral was held at the Greenbush Catholic Church, adjacent to the farm she grew up on. She is buried in the Greenbush Catholic Church.
